The town of Quartzsite, Arizona hosts several gem and mineral shows during January each year. The Quartzsite POWWOW is one those shows. The 2024 POWWOW will take place January 17 through 21. Our club will host an "unofficial" field trip to the POWWOW on Thursday, January 18. The meetup time will be 11:00 am (California time) and the meetup location will be at the north entrance of the QIA building (the square white building shown roughly at the center of the below photo). The street address is 235 Ironwood Street, Quartzsite, AZ. The areas all around this building will be full of dealers selling a wide variety of rock, mineral and jewelry related items during the POWWOW. Free parking is available and there is no admission fee. If you have never been to the POWWOW, come join other members of FGMS and explore what the POWWOW has to offer.
