FGMS was founded in 1957. We are a group of individuals who share common interests in gems, minerals, jewelry, geology, paleontology and the related earth sciences and lapidary arts. The Society is based in Fallbrook, San Diego County, California -- just a "stone's throw" from some of the most productive gem mining areas in the United States.
You won't believe what we've been hiding in Fallbrook!
2023 FGMS Scholarship: To advance education in the Earth Sciences, Fallbrook Gem & Mineral Society
is offering a $1,000 scholarship to an outstanding student. For guidelines and information, click here.
Fill out the required form by February 28, 2023.
FIELD TRIP REPORT
On Sunday, November 27th, Lea Barton led folks out to the fossil oyster beds ... and everyone had a great time collecting fossils not only for themselves but also for the club to put into fossil grab bags - the kids just love them!!!Fallbrook Gem & Mineral Society
